Many student and Proffesionals have a common Query................Is SAP R3 and SAP B1 completly different???
A strict "No" or "Yes" cannot complete the answer. SAP Business One is SAP's offering for the small and medium size companies while R/3 is for the large enterprises. SAP Business Oneis a perfect fit for companies with less complex business processes while R/3 is for companies with complex business processes. Essentially, the two products differ in terms of functionalities. For example, you don't have vendor evaluation in SAP BusinessOne (based on the premise that businesses are not too complex to demand evaluating vendors) - that's my opinion! However, in a large enterprise, it might be a requirement with high priority. This "incapability" doesn't mean a "drawback" because SAPBusiness One has SDK (Software Development Kit) that allows you to develop additional functionalities based on business requirements.
